'austere' church in st. germain neighborhood. there was a lion-guarded fountain outside:
the concert was lovely, mostly beethoven piano sonatas, but for some reason the pianist felt the need to introduce every piece with a little philosophical spiel about the meaning of life and such and such. it was kind of cute actually. concert space:
as you can see, the place is pretty cavernous. which made all the notes blend together in a pleasant, mysterious way.
the other thing that people do on sunday, i think, is go shopping at the market for the big sunday dinner. omg the market was insane. so many vendors, people yelling and buying and selling piles of delicious looking goodies. i enjoyed it a lot, but was totally overwhelmed.
